I am not very good at writing poetry. I suppose it is because it is a genre I am not very comfortable writing. Today I was inspired to write about something I did today. I hope you enjoy this fun little poem.
Today I Did Something – A Poem
Today I did something.
All for myself.
Just a little bitty something.
All for oneself.
I took time for me.
It had been awhile.
I did it with glee.
It made me smile.
The plan was in place.
I was starting to ache.
I ran to my space.
No time for a break.
The oven is ready.
No it’s not for steak.
Into the pan sure and steady.
I love to bake.
All sorts of creations.
Yummy goodness I make.
Oh the aromas and other sensations.
It’s my favorite…chocolate cake!
Today I did something.
All for myself.
Just a little bitty something.
All for oneself.
I took time for me.
Because I love to bake.
I do it with glee.
And so I made me some cake.
