Simplicity…better than before

Trying to gain this “simplicity” in my life seems like a never ending battle. There is never enough time in the day…for anything! There are moments when I think I am going to completely lose it and then there are those times when I really feel like I have it together. Right now is not one of those times.
I know there are others out there that are feeling the same way as I am. How do I know this? I read your comments on Facebook…I read your blogs…I read. I think we’re overwhelmed.

I am overwhelmed just thinking about it!

So what happens when we’re overwhelmed. We shut down. We stop participating. We go MIA. Then the guilt inevitably sets in…at least for me.
Well, I can’t feel guilty anymore. And neither should any of you! We try to do so much, be everything to everyone and cram so much into our days. Run…run…Run…run…RUN…it’s crazy!

So what’s a busy working woman suppose to do? What’s a busy mom suppose to do?

Take a break…give yourself a break!

Stop doing…whatever…it’s okay to slow down and take some time for yourself. Spend time with your husbands. Spend time with your kids. Spend time with yourself. And when you’re ready to start in again with things, like writing or reading each others stuff, then ease back into it and do whatever makes you comfortable.
So despite the fact that I haven’t written much for the writing prompts, it doesn’t mean I am not thinking about any of you. I try to read your blogs and musings on Facebook whenever I can. But for now, just like some of you, I am taking it one day at a time, doing what I can in the moments I have available. The rest will just have to wait until tomorrow.
Oh! And the simplicity that I am longing for…as much as I want it all right now, I’ve realized that I am getting closer to it every day and even though today might not be perfect, it’s definitely better than what I had before.

  1. I call then sporadic Fbing. lol
I will take a day off here and there and just come back on and stalk. No comments, just stalk.
But then I get all caught up with life stuff and come back pretty much on and off all day.
I am about to enter my busy, busy getting the yard and deck and pool ready for summer time and I will not be on much or writing much.
I think about everyone out here all the time though and assume if I haven't seen them in a few days, they might just have found life calling them! πŸ™‚

Just make you happy and content, that's all I want for you. β™₯

  2. Demme here…and I agree…there isn't enough time and I too have my spurts…here and then gone for a couple of days even somtimes a week or more. I do what I can and when I can…the rest has to work itself out. Sounds like you're on to something with simplicity…it is a much needed and forgotten MUST in life!

  3. Life is too damn short hats the problem! Just not enough TIME in one day , before kids get home to slow sown!but your sentiment is most certainly I the right, healthier, place.

  4. You are so right Susan, I try and find God's purpose for me each day, not saying I find it but I at least look. You friends are the ones that understand and so the reverse is true, we understand as well. This group is a nice touch stone.

  5. You know–I'm kinda there–and I feel as if I am just waiting–for what I don't know. I like laying low as long as I don't stay here indefinitely!! I can so relate to your post!

  6. You are so right. Sometimes it is so hard to keep up with everything!! Then all of a sudden you just have to take time away from the internet and spend it with your husband and kids. I often feel guilty after this, but return refreshed and ready to write and comment again. Wonderful post about what faces all of us at one time or another.
