Celebrating Christmas in July

I love Christmas so much that sometimes you have to do it twice! The official time of the year for this holiday can sometimes be stressful. I have always felt that celebrating it during a month that is a little more laid back can have its rewards. That is why when the Hallmark Channel came up with Christmas in July I was beyond excited!

Christmas in July

Today is Saturday, July 1, 2017 and I invite you to join me all month long as I celebrate Christmas in July. I’ll be doing all sorts of fun things and sharing them with you. Look for great movies to watch, fun projects to do, yummy things to make in the kitchen and more! It is with great hope that this celebration brings you as much joy as it does for me!

Four Great Holiday Movies

Starting off this month are four great movies to sit back and enjoy:

Will you Merry Me? – Meet the Fines and the Kringles as their children, Rebecca and Henry, announce their engagement and decide to spend the holidays together as one big happy family. A blending of faiths and family, including feuding parents, a wayward reindeer, and a sharing of traditions from all around. Watch as two people whose differences do not come to light until the families get involved. This is a great Christmas film, starring Wendie Malick and Cynthia Stevenson

On the Second Day of Christmas –  Aunt and niece get caught in the act of pick pocketing a few days before Christmas. When a scrooge of a department store owner pulls the plug on their latest lift, their saviors turn out to be Santa’s Helper and the store security guard. Funny, heartwarming and a must see during Christmas in July! Catch Mark Ruffalo, Marvel Comic Books’ Incredible Hulk, and Mary Stuart Masterson in this classic film from early in their careers.

If You Believe – What do you do when you run out of options to save your career? Bank all of your hopes on a 700+ page book entitled “Phooey”! Join Ally Walker, Hayden Panettiere and Tom Amandes in a story where a career focused women, whose lost almost everything but ultimately rediscovers life when she receives a visit from her “inner child.” Definitely not one of my favorite movies at first, but I have grown to love it!

Northpole – I remember waiting for a year until this movie came to the Hallmark Channel. It was worth the wait! Northpole, is a magical city where Santa and his elves live and work, but now it is in trouble. Northpole depends on holiday happiness to keep running. But, families around the globe have gotten too busy to enjoy the season together, and the happiness is fading. Watch as Clementine and Kevin Hastings take on this huge issue to save Northpole! This is a great film to watch with the family!

I hope you all find time to watch some great holiday films this month! Even if it is one or two that you did not watched last December, take a moment and sit down with the family for some holiday viewing cheer! When it is too hot outside to enjoy the great outdoors, stay indoors, bring out the popcorn and enjoy one of these films that brings joy to my heart.

Wishing you moments to enjoy Christmas in July!
