I once saw the world through the eyes of innocence,
Believing all that is good.
But as I grew up,
I put up blinders to those things I thought I should.
Alas the wisdom comes with age,
And I know that the world is not my stage.
Was once a sweet innocence though seems lost now,
Is merely reserved for moments that I only allow.
